Admissions
At Mandeville we follow the local authority admissions procedure for admissions to Reception through to Year 6. All admissions (except for Nursery places) are managed by Hackney Education. More information can be found at www. education.hackney.gov.uk/section/admissions-and-transfers or please contact Mandeville Primary school for support.
In-year admissions are also managed by Hackney Education, but the school welcomes parents who wish to tour the school or make enquiries about places in specific year groups.

Nursery Admissions
Admissions are managed by Farheen at the Mandeville School office.
We offer nursery places for children aged 2–3 and 3–4 years. You can apply online using the form here, or collect a paper application from the school office.
-
Free Places: All 3-year-olds are entitled to a free part-time place from the term after their 3rd birthday.
-
30 Hours Funding: Working families can apply for 30 hours of free childcare for 2–4 year olds at https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare. Check your eligibility and apply online.
-
Application Deadlines: Apply by the term before your child turns 2 (for a 2–3 year old place) or before they turn 3 (for a 3–4 year old place).
-
EY Code for 2-Year-Olds: Families receiving benefits may be eligible for a free part-time place for 2-year-olds. Find out more and apply for an EY code here.
-
Paid Places: If you are not eligible for funding, you may pay for a nursery place. Contact the school for fee information.
Tax-Free Childcare:
Working families may be able to pay nursery and wraparound care fees (including breakfast club, playcentre, and activity clubs) through the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. For every £8 you pay in, the government adds £2.
You can find more information about the Tax Free Childcare Scheme on the Wraparound Care page of our website.
For help or more information, call 0208 986 5249 or email mdvoffice@mandeville.hackney.sch.uk.
Once we receive your application, we will add it to our waiting list and contact you the term before your child is due to start. You will then be invited to a meet-the-teacher session to discuss your child’s needs and complete admissions paperwork.
Please note: nursery places are not confirmed until after this session and the completion of all paperwork.
